My Outback is now 13+ years old with 227K miles and I am wondering if I should replace the rubber brake hoses from the hard lines to the calipers. I'm going to be installing new front struts and new rear bushings. At the same time, I will be flushing the brake system. The hoses don't cost much and I plan to keep the car running "forever". Does anyone do this?

Absolutely nothing wrong with preventative maintenance, especially on brakes. Might as well do it if you're bleeding the lines.
