What rotors will fit on a 1st gen Outback with the 15" "big brake" wheel package? I ordered some slotted/dimpled (NOT drilled) rotors and I was told they won't fit my car, just the 2nd gen Outbacks. Anything from the Imprezas that are the stock size as the 1st gens with the 15" wheel package?

There never was any "big brake" package for your year of Outback that I am aware of. Outbacks from 1996 through mid 2001 had 10.7" front discs. In 2000 they got a larger rear disks (11.3"), and then mid 2001 a larger front disc (11.4") that required 16" wheels.

To go with larger rotors, I imagine you'd need the larger calipers, and the proper mounting bracket for those rotors. Plus, if you go much larger than the stock size, your stock wheels won't clear.

I've read that the Outbacks with 15" wheels have 2-piston calipers and larger rotors than the standard Outbacks with 14" wheels and single-piston calipers. So that's not the case?
The Outback has never had 14" wheels. The Legacy has, but the Outback has always had 15" wheels or larger.

So what other Subarus have the 10.7" front rotor?

I ordered these, but they don't make a front set. Only for 2nd gen and newer Outbacks: Car Part Wholesale - Auto Parts and Accessories Catalog - Bolton Premiere Rear Brake Disc (I only paid $40 for them, not that ridiculous price).

I found that out after ordering the F/R rotors & F/R ceramic pads and got an email back saying the front rotors aren't compatible with my car. So now I have all these new pads and rear rotors that aren't doing me any good.
