I was looking at the tires on the test mule photos and determined they are Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport AS. Can we expect these to be standard equipment instead of the Continental that everyone complains about on the Gen 4 OB?

I wouldn't read too much into what tire you see in spy shots. Maybe they are trying out different tires while testing out the rest of the car? If the shots were taken the next day, they may have had Goodyears on.

This is true. But it's worth mentioning that both prototypes that were photographed in Europe on public roads were also wearing these same Bridgestone tires. I guess we'll see.

They tune everything to a specific tire. I would be shocked if these are not production skins.

Goodyear Eagle LS-2

Well - here's another possibility. Looking at Subaru's photos of the 2015 Legacy shows Goodyear Eagle LS-2. Maybe Subaru will depart from the one tire for all trims and engines it used for the Gen 4 Legacy and Outback and will now use different tires for different set ups especially now that 18" wheels will be available.

Where'd you get that idea?

2014 Outback 2.5 base …. 215/70R16 99S
2014 Outback all other …. 225/60R17 98T
2014 Legacy 2.5 base …… 205/60R16 91V
2014 Legacy 2.5 Sport …. 225/45R18 91V
2014 Legacy 2.5 other …. 215/50R17 90V
2014 Legacy 3.6 Lim. …… 225/50R17 93V

OB got (some?/most?/all?) Contis, Legacy got (some?/most?/all?) Bridgestones.

…vive la différence,

Sorry - my mistake - I thought Legacys had Contis as well but I do believe all Outbacks got the Contis or am I mistaken on that as well?

Don't know about "all", but I'm not aware of anything other than
Contis on Gen4 OBs (although the Conti tire model was changed
somewhere around 2013).

My 2013 Legacy has Bridgestones, and cars101.com shows them
on the 2014 Legacy -- but I wouldn't bet the house on "all."
