You're better off leaving it alone. I contemplated the same thing, then realized the same thing that you did, it's an Outback.

Get a Magnet Bra for $50 and call it a day, you can even paint it if you want.

Enjoy the new car.

Also, if you have a white car, the clear bra turns yellow over time, not a good look.

I just realized that I owe you guys a picture, sorry about that...

Quick tip, use a hair dryer to soften the magnetbra during installation! And it's a little over-cut (you'll see, it curls under the hood and locks on with the piping) so it should work with the slightly different 13 hood.

Here are some photos of my MagnetBra, sorry for the delay!

Just my opinion, and everyone has one....
I'd rather look at a chip or two every day, than look at a bra.
Also, I can't see a chip unless I'm up close. I can see a bra from 200 yards.

I bought a used Mazda years back. Came with a Bra. I left it on. Came time to sell the car, and I took the bra off to take a good look at the hood where the bra was. The clear coat was dull everywhere under the bra from microscopic grit being rubbed into the paint. Also, the paint was not the same color under the bra. The bra had to stay on the car, or it looked terrible.

It's a San Jose thing, you wouldn't understand...
