I took a trip to western PA where I had to leave my car outside in temps. dipping into the low 20's at night. Each morning when I would start the car I would get a really bad grinding noise for the first second after starting up. I've had this happen with other cars. It's the oil having not yet completely circulated the pistons, but I thought that this wouldn't happen since the pistons are always sitting in oil. Is this normal for our cars?
