I have a 2004 Subaru Outback 6H-3.0 VDC. I recently had the radio changed from the McIntosh to a Kenwood DPX502BT. After The radio was installed I noticed when I turn on the headlights that the gauges don't light up. The gears and the other notification lights work, and so does the mileage/clock. I checked the fuse and it was blown, so I replaced it and nothing happened. The work "AUTO" on the window switch for the drivers side window doesn't light up as well. The fog light, cruise control and wiper defrost symbols don't light up as well. When I press the buttons the orange light turns on.

They probably hooked up the illumination wiring incorrectly and fried your Illumination Control Module. IIRC the Orange wire should not be connected to the radio.
