In my 2018 model, the shift to Night view is not working. The screen stays in Day mode even when it's dark out and the headlights are full on, which is distracting enough to be a safety issue. The manual does not help: it just says that the shift happens automatically. No, it doesn't. Can anyone help?

The OP is correct it does not shift to night mode as it supposed to. The GPS is awful because it does not shift to night mode like a normal GPS using a black map. The brightness does not dim automatically like it should and if you use the adjustment button as you suggest to gets to dim so you need a flashlight to see the gauges.

Now for what I have been doing is on the radio going to home>settings>Brightness then set it to 2 at night it helps a lot. You will need to turn off the auto dimming feature to do this.
