It was cheap but it needed a boat load of work. Got everything repaired. it now has 175K on it and runs like it was new. Thanks to the headers and muffler delete it is loud enough to wake up the dead when you are WOT.
Took the Outback up to the national forest to get our Christmas tree. The crossclimate2 tires are amazing in the snow. One week later and these forest roads were closed for the season with all the snow they got on the mountain.
This has become one of my favorite photos, which is one of the last photos of the car in Oregon. It was taken a winery with the summer sunset.
This 2nd photo was taken right after the relocation to the Rockies-Rollin/Jenny Lake Pass.
This last photo is one that I can consider as an accomplishment and showcasing my Outback at 2022 Overland Expo Mtn West with the Jeeps and Tacomas. I gave a 50 minute presentation on how a Subaru Outback could possibly be a capable overlander.
I bought my first car 67 years ago. I don't know how many I've owned, but this stick shift '13 Subie is the best of all. Smooth ride, quiet, more ground clearance than my Jeep Wrangler, and my first car with power windows.
