I have the factory remote start on my 2013 Outback and I love it. I'm just confused why it has to turn my engine off when I open the door. Does anybody else's remote start do this? What's the purpose? Is there a way to bypass it?

Now back to the main topic, how do I find out if my car automatically turns on my defroster if its cold out?
