Got the JDM grill from Subie Bros. Installed it today. Looks pretty good I think. A couple musings from the install today.
1. Second time since owning the car that I've unplugged the fog lights. And am not a fan of how the wiring conduit and connector collect water. Can see this becoming a wear & tear problem down the road.
2. Wheel arch molding can loose it's conture pretty easy. And I can't believe the screw you have to take out (To remove the bumper) doesn't go through the wheel well liner. The screw is so long is pushes the liner away leaving a nice gap for water and what not to get in. I drilled a hole in the liner for the screw to go through, helped a little.
3. Apparently in Japan or other markets the Outback has a forward facing camera. As the grill came with a blank off plate for just below the Subaru emblem.
4. I did the job myself, about 1-1 1/2 Hrs. No rush.
