driver side power window issue 97 ob

my driver side window sometimes would be glitchy rolling up. today it went all the way down and is stuck. it wont roll back up when i tried at one point the switch kind of sparked. if you click down you can hear the motor go a little to go down but it just it just wont do anything when trying to roll it up. what is my problem?

Either the motor is bad or almost there, the switch is bad [contacts] or the regulator is binding.

Someone with a 1st gen will have to chime in on whether you can jumper the switch plug to test that out. Check that first as it will eliminate the next two.

If the motor is bad, have to R&R that

Binding regulator can be cleaned/lubed up if it's not worn out.
