Hello All,

I need some help finding the ECU's tach wire. I'm working on a remote starter install for my daughter's 2002 2.5 L Outback. I've tried and failed to get the unit to recognize the Tach signal at any of the four wires at the coil pack. I'd like to try the signal that comes from the ECU and goes to the Instrument cluster. Does anyone have a diagram of the connectors at the ECU?

Thanks!

The units from Directed Electronics allow you to not use a RPM signal. They crank until they sense the alternator output rise. It is accessible thru the units programing mode.
