I have a 2007 Subaru Legacy 2.5. It runs well but if I accelerate harder than normal the check engine light/cruise light comes on. I find a 303 and 304 error code. Car has new plugs wires and coil plus a new timing belt. Idle is fine, starts perfectly and runs around town for my wife just fine. Problem is if I run the RPM up a bit higher the lights come on. If I erase them they will stay off until the next time I push it. Ideas?

how old in years and miles, are the plug wires: subaru likes NGK (or whatever the dealers have sold)

and what brands are these things you just put in:

plugs: subaru likes NGK

coil: subaru OEM only. aftermarkets suck.
(even a used subaru branded one is better.....on my 2002 original it has a "subaru" label etched into the front)

____

maybe the plug wires are loose at the coil or the plugs.

any oil on the plug 3 and 4?

alternatively could be a engine ground, although they typically make for all 4 cylinder misfires, I guess one could be close to the back of the engine.

undeleted. I forgot to ask such things as if this was a pre-existing condition.
