2000 OBW, automatic, 166K. Whenever I am driving at a sustained speed and back off the throttle I develop a sensation that my power train is connected to a bowl full of Jello. Anyone else experience this? Likely cause? TIA.

You may have a sticking caliper or caliper slide pin causing a wobble.

Drive line slack can be caused by worn suspension bushings, failing or failed bracket on a engine mount or transmission mount. Heck even old dead shocks can help contribute to this sensation. 166K the shocks were basically done by 100K start there given they need to be done anyway.

can you be more specific? Is this something you feel in the car, in the brake pedal, something you hear?
In the past, I've had 2-3 bad tire instances, maybe inspect the tires - even swap front pair with the back and see if the problem changes.
