yeah that's what I have. and I live in the rustbelt area. I figured 60 or so dollars from rockauto is a better price than 122 for the exact same part from advance auto.

Don't forget to get the valve at the top. Most of the time they are rotted away and don't come with the replacement necks. It's looks like this/ you can get one here: Spectra Premium FNA04 - Fuel Tank Filler Neck Adaptor | O'Reilly Auto Parts
Will do, thanks alot 99OutbackLimited! I have never seen that, can I ask ya 2 quick questions please: is that the valve that opens when you fill up and all the fumes will go down into the intake and where is it located on the car?

Yeah it did. Take off your passenger side rear wheel (by the fuel door). If you look to the left of the suspension, you will see a large plastic piece jutting out that is attached by two or three hex/phillips head screws. Note that these may break when you try to get them out but they are only attached to the filler neck so if you are replacing it, no biggie. When you take the plastic off be ready for tons of dirt to come out. I probably had roughly 4-5 pounds of very hard/ solid brick-like dirt come out. After you clear off the dirt, you will be able to see if you have a hole somewhere. My filler neck was literally head together by the dirt.... when I took it out, it came out in 4 pieces. :crying: Make sure to note where your fuel lines run to in regards to the neck and valve so you put it back together correctly.

It is also recommended to take the plastic off once a year or maybe when you rotate your tires and clean the crud out that builds up behind it. Hopefully this will prevent future issues and make the filler neck last longer.
thank you so much for all the help and info.
