Hey guys (and girls)
Kinda been a lurker here the last few weeks. Sort of. Don't actually own a Subaru yet. My wife and I just sold her car and we are going to Wagner Subaru in Ohio to buy an Outback tomorrow. I've always wanted a Subaru since I first saw the WRX. Anyways, looking forward to getting into a new vehicle! Any tips for a noob? We are getting the 2.5 L with moonroof and puddle lights. Here is the link.

New 2013 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited w/Moonroof For Sale - | Fairborn OH | near Dayton, Springfield & Beavercreek Ohio |

We are getting 0.9 financing on the wagon. Sweet!

So we bought the car. Drove 30 miles and it won't start. We have called roadside assistance and it is being towed back to the dealership. The wait for the tow truck was almost as long as we have owned the car. Is this typical? Love the car hate roadside assistance.

Frustrating to say the least. My wife is going to need to get a ride to work and this means another trip to the dealership. To pick it up. Should I be compensated for our time? Should I demand a rental car?

Apparently when they want to go fill up the tank yesterday it had a dead battery. Someone had left the dome light on and drained the battery completely. The technician had to jump the car, fill it up with gas, and drove back to the lot. When we got there the car was sitting in the lot running. Today the technician replaced the battery and told me they check engine light was due to the crank angle sensor. He call me back at lunch and said that car is "perfect". Now my wife and I both have to drive 30 miles back to the dealership pick it up and drive back home that takes at least an hour and 15 minutes. Can you say free oil change?

The dealer replaced the battery rather than charge the existing one. I think that was the right thing to do. They also offered to give me a free oil change, I told him I like to do that myself. He went to the back got 6 qts of oil, a filter and a crush washer. He said "this ones on us". He also told me they had a "staff meeting" about jumping new a car before the buyer picks them up.
