KYB is listing the same part numbers for H4 and H6 front struts, is that right?

Is it the springs that would differ between various models/weights/engines?

I've read elsewhere that H4 & H6 each have their own front springs, and that makes sense to me. You'd want a higher starting rate on the H6 spring to offset the extra engine weight and keep the nose from drooping.

I wouldn't expect different struts, but I don't have anything concrete on that.

Answering your question, springs are different, struts are the same. I think 2005 or gen 3 struts are the same, or might give you a tiny lift and are cheaper and offer the same performance.
