has anyone swapped the aluminium intake manifold,for the plastic later model ones? whats the compatibility issues,and has anyone tried this,and come to any results??? thx, jonno:29:

My guess would be the earlier H6 is more limited by exhaust breathing than by intake breathing.

-its so i can machine up a alu manifold -and all i have is plastic manifold to replace while doing this..anyone tested heat transfer alu manifold vs plastic one???

The vacuum ports and sensor placement are different. EGR is still on the head. The engines with the plastic manifold are MAF managed while the aluminum are MAP managed.

With a little creativity, you could probably make it work. Just make sure all your sensors connect and all vacuum management is in place.

The plastic stays cooler and inhibits carbon deposit build up in the process.

What kind of MOD you got in mind? If you don't mind the inquiry.
