An ABS dash light led me to reading out the error, which is a 52 (motor or motor relay). Since they've provided diagnostic information to that resolution, it makes sense to try to fix what's busted rather than just replace the whole module. Unfortunately, the packaging and location are really unfriendly - it looks like the relays are buried down where they can't be gotten at without removing the unit, meaning bleeding the entire system over an electrical fault (boo). I also really don't get what the motor is there for; pressure is provided by the master cylinder, so why does this module need anything but valves and their control system?

First time I've laid hands on one of these things. Any leads much appreciated.
