Any thoughts , i just did a head gasket job on Ej253 last year , then my mom drove my car and left it in gear 1 , dont ask ...... the engine Blow up. I ordered new re manufactured engine from some guys that built the last one which was in my car 1 year and 15 k miles. I used Felpro MLS on the last build it was fine no issues , the people that built my engine said the Mahle head gasket 55016 were better so i ordered them any opinions on my EJ25

When my EJ253 head gaskets were repaired at 101k miles, the shop used Six Star multi-layer. They are still good at 145k miles.

Mahle and (improved) Fel-Pros are fine.

Other option is using Subaru STI gaskets (AA642). Great MLS gaskets and are (arguably) a better option versus the "full coating" of the Fel-Pros.
