Has anyone complained to Subaru customer service about the persistent heat shield rattle and got any sort of compensation toward repairs?

My dealer pretty much refuses to acknowledge that there's an issue even though my entire heat shield assembly is plastered with hose clamps like a mummy. An independent shop confirmed the annoying grinding sounds are from the heat shield, but said that no spot welding is really possible so the only solution is to replace the heat shield. I would gladly bite the bullet but wonder if the replacement would be only a temporary solution before the same issues came back.

Just wondering if anyone brought this up with SOA and gotten any help.

You didn't say what year your car is but on my 2002 I've MIG welded the heat shields and have also used a stainless steel hose clamp to quiet them down.
