Hi. I just bought my first Subaru, and I am very excited about it.

Outbacks are rare where I live, and up until the past year, I knew very little about them. I got interested when a new girl was hired on where I work. She drives a 2001 Subaru Forester. I was amazed at the condition and longevity of her vehicle, so I began researching Subaru. Now I have my own. I can’t say that the outdoorsy appeal of the Outback was the selling point for me. No. It was more about the safety features, options, and the fact that you can drive them for thousands and thousands of miles.

I hope to learn a great deal from this forum and look forward to meeting many of you.

Congrats on your new Outback 3.6 Touring! I've been driving mine for about 2 months and really enjoy it. There are some threads about head unit issues and hood misalignment you might want to check out.

Your bar is set too low! Hopefully, it will be tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands - and many here have easily attained the latter, sometimes more than once!
