Hey guys

So on my way to work today I noticed something a little peculiar while accelerating hard onto the freeway at some points it kind of studered like it was missing or something... this doesn't happen noticably during any other driving except hard acceleration. It doesn't rev high when it happens just jerks a little bit. It is an auto trans. Brand new ngk platnium plugs... OEM wires as of a month ago... could this be my coil or maybe an injector or is it my trans?

Help!

Also new fuel filter... head gasket job done a month ago... timeing belt and water pump also have been done

When my 2000 did that, it turned out to be the coil. Worth a test.

Well i was thinking of going to MSD 8239 so if it does test bad i guess now would b the time .. How do u go about testing one?

Could it be the MAP sensor? I'm just confused if it was the coil why does it only do it under hard acceleration... and not all the time?

Because it's trying to ignite more fuel during acceleration. Also, verify that nothing is loose, causing a poor connection and a weak flow of electrons.

I had something like this happen, turned out to be just a bad plug wire. Ran the engine in the dark and watched for a spark.
