It’s a black bolt that’s laying flat X my son used a small Screwdriver to open the valve. It wouldn’t budge so he kept at trying to get it open… now it looks like a square now. How do I safely remove the bolt?

I hope you don't mean opening it when the radiator is pressurized!

I'd resort to method 2 of air bleeding. That looks like a resentment waiting to be opened. Leave it as a reminder

Just in case you must remove it anyway, I might find a coarse threaded nut with an ID of around 1/2" (that would be 3/4" nut - probably could go larger). Then I'd mix up some 5 minute epoxy and pack some into the damaged portion, place the ID of the nut over the portion that hopefully will be turning and pack the nut with more epoxy. I would not try to turn the nut for at least 24 hours.

If it doesn't work, you will have filled up the damaged portion with epoxy. Maybe you'd have an opportunity to make a new slot in that.
