I just want to give a quick shout out to all of my wonderful forum customers that purchased a vehicle from me in February and all the months since I became the Internet Forum Director. This was the first month since I have had the job myself, without another person, and it was a busy one! There were only 28 days in the month, 20 business days and I was gone sick and on "vacation" for 5 of them. So, with only 15 business days in the office, 36.5 cars (a .5 car happens when a co-worker helps out) that came in pre-sold or were in-stock, were sold by me to customers from the forums and through referrals. A MASSIVE thank you to all of you that helped make that happen! Without the support of my customers, my co-workers, and my family, I would have gone bonkers this month! ;) Let's do it again this month!

need a car in couple months, should wait for 2016?

Hi January,

First of all, I would like to thank you Heuberger for the outstanding prices that you guys offer, no local dealer even is looking at the price and as soon as I tell them HeuBerger might offer at this price, they just say that there is no way they can match it..

Now, coming to the point, I had a old car that I want to trade in for 2015 outback but due to my other situations and budget, I wanted to wait for 3months to get the Outback. Sadly, my car was totaled in an accident other day (not my fault), I will get the check from the insurance company here in a week or so.. I would still need the car in couple months, I do not want it right away, so, do you think that I have to wait for 2016 or go with the 2015. Do you guys have any idea when can we start ordering 2016?

Have we been emailing? Your story sounds familiar. If not, please email me directly at [email protected] and we'll chat about options. The 2016 availability hasn't been announced yet.

FYI EVERYBODY:

I'm heading to Key West tomorrow morning and will be back in the office next Wednesday (the 16th). If you need anything, please feel free to email ([email protected]/[email protected]) or call 719-244-5515. Eric Wass (the boss) will have access to both and he will be taking good care of everyone for me while I'm gone. :)

As I side note, I finally got a chance to take Janis Joplin (my 2014 WRX hatch) out on the track on Friday and got her up to 136.4 mph. Had so much fun! The Adams County Sheriff's dept came to our booth while I was out there and told the guys they wanted "to speak with the girl with the pink wheels" when I got back. Talk about a heart-attack! They told me there was no speed limit! Turns out they want to buy an STi, mod it out to take it to meets and talk about safety with the street racers so they can keep the speed on the track. :) So of course I handed them a card. Here's few pics from last Friday at The Colorado Mile:

I wanted to share my car-buying experience here and hope my Heuberger pals don't consider this some type of "microphone invasion" since I don't see many feedback comments on this thread.

I first contacted Heuberger in August 2015 directly via the Heuberger web-site, not via the Forum (which I did not yet know existed). I was assigned to a new internet salesman, who was super-responsive to my questions, super patient and super respectful (BTW it was not January Brooks, who has now anyway moved on and is no longer at Heuberger). By Sept 4 we had agreed on a quote which was under invoice and $3500 less than any equivalent quote in my own area (Kansas city). I ordered a 3.6R Lapis Blue Pearl Ltd Package #23 with towing, remote start, moonroof deflector, mudflaps, and remote start on Sept 5, with anticipated delivery first week of Dec. About 2 weeks after ordering I discovered the Forum, and realized that there was a 25% discount available on accessories purchased at/by the time of delivery. I re-contacted my dealer, and found that ---yes, that was available to me as well. I added on some extra parts/accessories (wheel arch molding, body side molding, rear bumper protectors). At the end of the first week of November (about a month earlier than expected) we learned that Blue Su was to be delivered the next week. Turned out that Heuberger had an extra discount for 3.6Rs bought in November so the total cost of the additional accessories was not much more than my original quote! To boot, before delivery I contacted SOA, informing them that I was a return Subie customer (my last Outback, a 1999, had died a few years earlier) and was offered a $500 Loyalty program check for returning customers after completing the sale. My son and I flew to Denver Nov 14, came down by airport shuttle to CS (it being a Saturday, M-F Heuberger would have sent a driver to pick us up), and our salesman picked us up at a CS hotel near Heuberger. The whole experience at the dealership (the coffee bar, the displays of all the ways to kit out your Subie, and especially the patience, helpfulness and affability of our salesman while I painstakingly checked the vehicle over) was a dream. Our salesman even sat with us and chatted while we waited for the finance person to arrive to complete the sale. The finance person provided us with the additional Added Security options, pricing for which we quickly negotiated agreement and took delivery. The threads across this forum were very helpful in getting ready (especially citations to the pre-delivery checklist, see http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/138-gen-5-2015-present/293409-2016-pre-delivery-inspection.html ). The deal was great, the experience was great, the people were great (thanks again Geo Reyes!) and the ride is the best part of it all. It is definitely Love. It was definitely worth the trip, I will be coming back in 3 years to buy my wife's next car. Definitely worth 5*s, and Subaru Stellar Care Award. Yesterday (25 days after delivery) all the Certificate of Origin paperwork arrived. Good work Heuberger. Go with Heuberger folks you won't regret it.

If you have already started working with Clint Kachnowski, you will continue to work with him. For new quote requests you can contact me via the Heuberger Motors Quote Request Thread for SubaruOutback.org .
