Hi. I recently bought a 2006 outback and have noticed on the highway, at about 100-110kph (cruising speed) there is a high pitched intermittent ringing noise when I slightly accelerate to keep the speed. It's annoying as ****, even though it's not that loud. Any ideas? Lower speeds or other situations, it doesn't make the noise. Thanks in advance.

any location? (under the hood, right front, ....left rear????)

does it still make the noise if you let off the accelerator? does it still make the noise if you shift to neutral?

( ...brakes, wheel bearing, if not something under the hood like a vacuum leak, power steering pump, alternator bearing, alternator belt).
