I have a 2010 Outback with 105000 miles. I've noticed a high pitched squeal that lasts seconds; simultaneously, as it is squealing I feel a "pull" or "tension" in the steering wheel. This usually occurs while driving over 55-60 mph and it happens within the 1st 15-20 minutes
of driving. What could this be?

seems like a slipping accessory belt.

BTW - unless done recently, your car needs the timing belt system serviced. Expensive damage is assured if that system fails.
