Currently we are on our #7 and #8 Subies, a '90 Legacy sedan 5spd and an '02 OB wagon. My first car was a '70 ff-1 sedan, then a '78 BRAT, (3 Chevies and married a '89 Corolla), '93 Legacy LS wagon, '83 4wd wagon, '96 OB, a second '78 BRAT, the '90 Legacy sedan, and the '02 OB.
Owned one Subaru and that was the '86 XT sport coupe-fun car. Then went to dodge trucks. Looking to trade-in my dakota for the new 05 xt outback limited...Subaru got alot of good reviews and great ratings..
1 ea. 00 OBW doing just fine (with the exception of a seeping head gasket that stopped seeping with the conditioner. I am assuming they will be replacing the headgaskets before I reach 100K) and a '97 OBS (that is new to me) with 124K miles. Seems just like new. Of Course the wife drives the 00 OBW. I'm a satisfied owner so far!
'92 Legacy Sedan: Pure White, dark blue interior -- very nice car, and trouble-free, so I was hooked form the get-go; 105k miles when traded in, and sad to see it go! (I've seen it around town a few times since then, but not recently)
'99 Forester: Canyon Red, beige interior -- quite functional and reliable, a head-turner, and a blast to drive! 94k fun miles when traded in, and it sold again before it made it to the lot! (Oh, the places that thing has been...)
'05 Outback 2.5i base wagon: Champagne Gold/grey sport cladding -- quieter, more plush, roomier...I'm in heaven!Sweet! One month old, and looking forward to taking it up to the mountains. (Gotta watch that speed on the paved roads...it sneeks up there all by itself
I bought a 1978 Subaru wagon back in 1992. It has a noisy engine but I used it for 5 years and passed in on to my brother-in-law who used it for 3 more years.
And now I have an 05 Outback LLBean -- and its sweeeeet!!!
