I'd like to have reading lights in the back seats so my kids can better entertain themselves on after-dark drives, but haven't been able to figure out a good way. Anyone done this, or have suggestions?

Apparently there's no Subaru OEM way to do this, right? General ideas I've come up with are:

  1. An OEM grab-handle-with-light from some other automaker, that can be successfully mounted in an Outback. I've not found any discussions about this, so my assumption is that it's not real straightforward.
  2. A battery LED light of some sort.
  3. A custom LED light and switch, mounted in the headliner ... powered, I suppose, into the existing wiring for the dome light. This one seems feasible, IF it's easy enough to remove and replace the headliner without making everything look like crap.
Thanks for any suggestions!

(BTW, if it matters, this is a 2013 base Outback)
