Hi folks-

I've replaced my windshield recently and now want to attach the rearview mirror.
Got the "button" part (#92022AG01A), like this one.

but, even though it has that black-gummy-sticky mass at the back, which I guess is some sort of adhesive, it doesn't want to stick properly.
It sticks somewhat, but then it will fall down.

what am I missing? Is there some other glue, or catalyst I need?
A procedure? have to heat it up?

thanks for the help in advance!

I ended up stripping all of that black thing, and ordered this 'loctite 319' kit -

we'll see how it goes.

Did you change the glass yourself or have it done. In the states we get it done and that button is installed as part of the job. That Locktite product should work fine though.

it was changed in the dealership, all is great.
but I want to put the 'compass and homelink' mirror, so I've asked them not to stick my original mirror.

for reasons unknown, the EU version has different 'stand' and 'button' for the mirror, so the homelink one (sold for US only) doesn't fit :/
