Joined the forum a while back but finally got around to an introduction. My wife and I bought our first Subaru two years ago, a 2000 Outback Ltd. Great car, always wanted a subbie after my dad took me for a test drive in a Brat back in 1980. Anyway, this one had 145k when we got it, now just over 160k. We have driven it back and forth from Florida to Texas, including hauling a 12' trailer on one trip. The previous owner kept meticulous records, and apparently always had it serviced at one shop so it was a major score to find all the reciepts in the glove box when we bought it.
As for us, we just replaced the plugs and wires along with the plug sleeve and valve cover gaskets. Still runs great, looks great, and looking forward to a lot of easy miles.

Thanks for the welcome. I hope I can contribute something useful to this site, I am a shadetree mechanic and tend to keep my vehicles long past their normal life expectancy. In fact, at 160k, my Outback is the "youngest" car in my garage.
