Hey all,
Been reading around a lot and didn't see anything with this symptom so thought I'd ask the masters
2002 Model (early, actual 2001 carryover) OBW Ltd. 2.5 AT, 252k miles.
Idle is inconsistent when starting from cold. On recommendation I replaced the IAC. When I removed the old one it is very oily/sooty on the end. This did not fix the issue.
The main symptom that has me stumped is: When driving at highway speeds, if I start going down a hill and put the car in neutral and coast, I expect the tach to drop to idle. This is not happening, even though I know the car is in neutral. Even in neutral, RPMs drop as the car speed drops. This is also the symptom going at slower speeds. Car shifts fine in D at all speeds and acceleration.
Thanks!
