Hey all,

Been reading around a lot and didn't see anything with this symptom so thought I'd ask the masters:D

2002 Model (early, actual 2001 carryover) OBW Ltd. 2.5 AT, 252k miles.

Idle is inconsistent when starting from cold. On recommendation I replaced the IAC. When I removed the old one it is very oily/sooty on the end. This did not fix the issue.

The main symptom that has me stumped is: When driving at highway speeds, if I start going down a hill and put the car in neutral and coast, I expect the tach to drop to idle. This is not happening, even though I know the car is in neutral. Even in neutral, RPMs drop as the car speed drops. This is also the symptom going at slower speeds. Car shifts fine in D at all speeds and acceleration.

Thanks!:)

Pretty new. Within the past 3 months, and the issue may have started when this was done. What are you thinking is the issue?
