As lower mileage donors from salvage yards get more scarce what are the parts that may need replacing in the future that you won't be able to buy or repair?

Obviously a good low mileage trans - but what are the other parts you would consider stockpiling from low mileage gems in the salvage yards?

For this type of topic, i would start watching the salvage auctions for a super low mileage, but wrecked car. then you get lots of good parts for cheap. Buy the whole car that isnt fixable but has many good mechanics...buy one from a non wintery state, and have it shipped. then either store the car in a shed, or strip it and shelve the parts. OEM parts are always going to be better than aftermarket.

I don't have a place to store a donor car so this would be a salvage yard project.

The question is what parts will be difficult/impossible to find in 10 years?

Transmission? Power steering pump? Oil Pump? Ect....

I's like to know what folks think are the best components to find now...

Nothing. Nobody can predict the future. A donor car makes sense but you already said you don't have the space.

Plus there aren't a lot of year/model specific parts on that car. It's not an SVX.
