Most of the mirrors on the market today are made by a couple of supplers; Mito and Gentex. While manufacturers have some variations in exterior look, most are the same. The exceptions are German and other European brands.
and the tires, air filters, oil filter to name a few other itemsI am pretty sure the heated seat switches are shared with nissans. Companies share parts.
Third brake lamp used on the Legacy is the same one used in the last gen Camry, I havent paid close enough attention to the new Camry to detect if it still is the same unit. Can't think of much else though at this second.I'm curious how much if any part sharing or engineering (besides the BRZ/FRS) goes on between Toyota and Subaru today.
Yep. My Veracruz has the exact same mirror except for the rear camera insert. Most of the mirrors on the market today are made by a couple of supplers; Mito and Gentex. While manufacturers have some variations in exterior look, most are the same. The exceptions are German and other European brands.
Not really....VAG uses tons of shared parts across Porsche/Audi/VW lines (And Lambo too). Opel/Vauxhall is all GM. My Volvo I had before the Outback was loaded with Ford parts. Saab I had before that was loaded with GM/Opel parts. I guess BMW and Merc would be the only exceptions...about the only "true" solo automakers left! The exceptions are German and other European brands.
