see if you can return the k&n filter and get an aem or similar dry flow filter. you have more power because almost no filtration, the dry flow ones work just as good or better, but you dont have that nightmare of re-oiling and the worry of excess oil fucking up your MAF sensor. interesting there are 2 filters though, i have a 2011 outback and a 2012 impreza and there is only 1 filter.

well, the K&N should give you no problems, problems are the rare case, ill just never buy that kind of filter again. re-oiling sucks. i have only learned this in the past few years.
