I have a 2008 Suburu Outback. I took it in for the passenger side airbag recall last week and noticed my key fob wouldn't work. No problem, I have another at home. well that one didn't work either. Any chance these issues are related? Help, I am so frustrated. Alos the temperature gage was very tight. Almost too tight to move.

If they worked before the airbag recall, then perhaps something wasn't reconnected (e.g., a connector at the keyless entry module), or a fuse was blown.

The cable between the temperature control and the heater box might not have been re-installed properly.

When the airbag recall is done, pretty well the whole dash area is disassembled. There's lots of possibilities of things being missed during re-assembly.

Take it back to the dealer. They should make it right. (Don't wait too long!)
