I have a trans pan that I have to replace the seal on but I'm trying to figure out if it's the trans pan leak spread to the diff area or if the diff is leaking too. If so what is that? A gasket, seal or just a bolt tighten?

pan has sealant from the factory.
maybe compare the appearance and smell of the leaking fluid to drops sampled from the trans and diff dipsticks? diff fluid is very smelly.
any chance someone has incorrectly serviced the fluids in the car? it happens. diff could be overfilled and blowing out the vent or ...?

Diff was serviced but the dipstick is ready correctly.

could easily have just been spilled diff lube. Even with a good funnel, it's possible to pour to quickly and get some spillage.
maybe swing by a diy car wash and clean thoroughly and monitor.
