I have a problem that cropped up yesterday. I have a 99 Legacy. Yesterday, I noticed that the parking lights would not extinguish even when the engine was off and the key was out of the ignition. This continued all day, when I got home, I decided it would be a good idea to disconnect the battery when I'm not driving. Anyone else have the same problem with their lights?

to quote a movie that I once saw..."why do they even have that switch"
maybe someone can explain better but, it seems to be a 'feature' Subaru had to add , mostly for the European market IIRC, to allow then to keep another feature - that of headlights going off when the key is turned off.

CN; Subaru is different
