My 95 has no CD and I'd like to plug my walkman into the AM/FM cassette radio.

There's this big honking 13 pin DIN socket on the back for the Subaru CD player to plug into, that has stereo inputs (top four pins I think, assuming it is the same as the forester xt radio (see below)).

Problem is, according to the manual the CD player works by simply popping in a CD, it interrupts the radio or cassette. This leads me to think that the head unit mutes the line in until it gets some command over the PBUS lines.

Anyhow, it's -20C outside at the moment, so I won't get to play with it until maybe April, so I thought I would spend the time researching this.
