I went and looked at an 02 LL Bean Outback today. Looked and drove pretty good.... Had one usual rust spot for these cars in the left rear door jamb.

The other rust spot is the one that is making me hesitant about the car though.... Front left of the front sunroof...

How worried about this spot would anyone else be? Would it stop you from buying an otherwise nice car?

I'm wondering if i'm not just being too picky because I'd rather have a Baja....

You can talk yourself in to or out of anything for any reason. You don't need a forum to back up what you are thinking.

It is a bad spot for rust and a PITA to repair. If it opens up more or allows for the seal the leak, the interior gets wet.

So, how much do you want to spend to repair this rust? Here's a rundown: remove headliner, remove sunroof assembly, sand/grind/prep/fill/prime/paint/clearcoat, then reistall the roof and interior.

Me, pass and keep looking.
