Recently my low oil level light keeps coming on on my 2016 2.5 Limited. I just did an oil change a couple months ago and added the 5.1 quarts. I checked the level and unless I’m reading the stick wrong it looks like I’m full? I even added another 1/4 a quart to be sure that it was enough, and sure enough the light keeps coming on. Am I reading the stick correctly? Could it be a malfunction with the sensor? Any help is appreciated greatly!

If it just comes on once after an oil change it's probably nothing.
Make sure you're not consuming oil.

Test the oil level switch.

Is it still under warranty?

Thanks for the reply. The weird thing though is that I did the change a couple months ago. The light just started coming on last week. It keeps coming on and then turning off, but usually it remains on. Unfortunately it’s not under warranty, I just hit 80K miles. Is it pretty easy to test the switch?
Been checking the stick everyday and it’s not going down, jjst remains right at the second hole. Thanks!
