Folks, I've been looking at the LED replacement bulbs for our headlights.

Since we have projectors, I tend to think that if we could find a decent bulb, it should be totally possible to get some good light out of the low beams.

The problem is that every aftermarket LED bulb for the H7 lamp is 10,000 lumens or more.

So that's gonna blind everybody on the other side of the road, in front of me, possibly even low-flying aircraft…

Are there any decent LED H7 bulbs that aren't going to blind anybody, but actually produce slightly higher output and whiter light?

It's possible that you need 10,000 to overcome the loss associated with the geometry mismatch between a real H7 filament and the LED emitters. Projectors do help control spill but they don't solve the whole problem. A significant amount of the light made won't go anywhere; wasted.
