I backed into a big rock and got a nice dent in the back hatch of my charcoal gray 2017 2.5 Premium Outback. It works fine but I'm told the dent can't be fixed because too close to the edge.

I couldn't find any available hatches in local wrecking yards. Repair shop says $1,500 to $2,000 to replace with a new one.

With so many of these cars on the road, there must be a pretty good source for wrecking yard body parts?

Any suggestions? I'm in Seattle, Washington.

Hmmm..
With more and more cars equipped with collision avoidance and braking assist features, perhaps finding cars wrecked in a frontal collision will become harder. At least that would be the whole point of these systems.
The corollary is: are cars with these systems involved in more rear collisions?
