I have the stock rear view mirror but want the autodimming feature. Anyone have any idea if the 2017/2018 autodimming rear view mirror will work on the 2015?

I like the look of the newer version better. Part # h501ssg203

Also any tips on installing on eyesight modem?

Thanks!

You know that you must also have the auto-dimming outside mirrors, right? They provide the control signal for the rear-view.

It's the other way around. If you want the auto-dimming outside mirrors, you must already have the auto-dimming inside mirror, which provides the sensor and logic. My OB started with the auto-dimming inside mirror and I added the outside ones after delivery as a dealer installed option.

Nope it's the other way around. It's the same for all the current 2015 + Outbacks. The auto dimming rearview controls the autodimming sideview.

Now does anyone know in the new mirrors are compatible with the 2015-2016s?

Thanks again!
