Ive not heard this one before. Press the clutch pedal in, no noise let it out and I get this grinding kind of noise. New clutch in two years ago.
Cant post a vid yet, new user, but you can search youtube for mZlPXaWqbS4

I could go with the input shaft bearing. Could also be a crapped out clutch.

Clutch on = no pressure on disc
Clutch off = pressure on disc, which with this noise could be indicative of a lack of friction material on the disk

With a worn throw out bearing, the noise will be there with the clutch engaged and gone off the clutch.

Pull the transmission and see what you find.

Thanks, I think it will be a few months before I can do anything with it. Is there a good set of instructions on how to replace that bearing, found a couple on dropping the tranny.
