Hi everyone,

Looking to change out the stock wheels and tires on my 2018 2.5 Limited to a set of
  • Method MR 501 (Dimensions: 17x8 Offset: 42 Bolt: 5-100) - Gunmetal
  • Falken Wildpeak A/T3W - 245 /65 R17 XL

From a previous thread (system will not allow me to link to it) it looks like the 245s will fit without any rubbing issues. Does that seem right? Anyone with experience?

Second question, being a newbie to adding new non stock wheels, is there any other technical considerations when adding these. Planning to get them built up by DiscountTire. Can I just grab the wrench and swap em out myself once I get em? Are there any other parts I need to add or consider adjusting.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Thanks Brucey! It seems there is no smaller / 235 option for Wildpeaks - just a 235/70. I take it that will not fit either? I see most people run 235/65 17 size tires. I guess I may resort to the popular option and go with Geolanders GO15 @ 235 /65 R17 108H XL BSW . Any other ideas? I want some low hassle AT tires for road trips into the Maine backwoods. I will be keeping my stock set for summer city driving.

I believe with stock backspacing numbers they won't rub. My 245/65/17 KO2 on factory wheels never rubbed. Even without the lift.

You could buy them in the classifieds if ya want.
