Hello! I have an 06 Baja turbo, need an engine. Will a long block from a turbo outback or forester work?

Certainly easier to find the OB or Forester...馃

Thanks!!

When I got rid of my 06 Baja turbo... the engine was pristine.... the body was rotted beyond repair. I am sure it is still sitting in the salvage yard being parted-out. Someone will get a GREAT engine.

I am pretty sure that the 06 Baja turbo engine was the 'older' turbo engine from the previous gen. (not the same as 06 forester/OB)

A little late, but the answer is "it depends".

Depends on how much of the engine you want to swap in.

Complete, plug and play? 06 Baja only.

Long block (transfer your accessories, intake, wiring harness, turbo, etc): 06-09 Legacy/Outback, 06-07 WRX, 06-09 Forester

Short block (transfer everything including cylinder heads): All of the above, plus 08-14 WRX. STi stuff will swap, but would require a custom remap of the ECU due to the higher compression ratio.
