Hi All,

Have an MY22 Outback Sport which is only a month or so old. We've noticed a noise coming from the glove box area sometimes when accelerating and/or travelling from rough to smooth road service (and vice versa).

Car is booked in with our local Subaru service centre - they have advised that this is a known issue and that it can be fixed. Just wondering if anyone else has come across this problem and what Subaru did to fix it?

Is it coming from the glove box or things in it? The only rattles, etc I've noticed are from things I have in the car, not the car itself.

It was coming from the glove box - with or without items in there. Subaru managed to fix the issue this morning - apparently missing "foam" from a duct behind the glove box.

Was this a quick fix? I mentioned it to the dealer for my 1 month check in and I'm wondering if they'll fix it on the spot

Yeah, was fixed within an hour. Seems to have done the trick - no more irritating noise!

Thanks for that post, nice to know it's a known issue and that Subaru are aware of it so should be no need to explain the issue at the next service. I hope

I breifly mentioned a vibration/rattle noise coming from my glove box to the service desk when dropping my car off for its 1 year service.

Didn't think much would come of it, thought I'd just have to live with it.

Just realised after seeing this thread that I hadn't heard it since 😂😁
