Does anyone know if 1997 OBS rotors are the same as rotors for a 1997 LOB (i.e. will they fit on my subie)?

My dealer (Kendall) says that the rotors will bolt up but that OBS rotors are thiner than the LOB. I suppose this would make braking much more hazardous.

I was looking at a set of used Power Stop rotors which are cross drilled.

Any comments will still be appreciated.

Super Rupair in boulder might also be able to tell you.

if there's any difference at all, i wouldn't use em. installing braking components designed for a 3-400 lb lighter car is sort of inherently a bad idea on a philosophical level.

why? are LOB rotors THAT expensive?

This was one of my original thoughts and thanks to advise from here and elsewhere I've decided to "bag" the idea.

Lastly, I'm not sure why LOB rotors are "that expensive."

Thanks for everyone's input :)
