Hello everybody! I am new here as of about 5 mins ago. I've have been reading lots about the upgrade to the LGT brakes and am quite interested in doing that. There is one thing I am unsure of though and was hoping that the people who have already done this upgrade could answer. I know that the pads, rotors and caliper bracket have to be changed but can you use the existing calipers themselves. I have seen one person say yes and one parts company use the same PN for just the caliper for both vehicles. Any insight would be much appreciated!

brake swap

I did the rears on my XT and changed everything. On the Legacy site the guys there said that because the rotor size is diffrent you need a caliper to fit the rotor. And the caliper is what gives you the better braking.

I went to NAPA and purchased refurbished caliper with the bracket and then purchased their upgraded rotors and used a semi metalic pad. You feel the diffrence. I plan to change the fronts the next time around.
